Hello fellow bricksters!

Here's the deal: My wife was driving our beloved 92 244 GL last week and was hit in the passenger side door. Only damage was to the door & pillar between both doors. The door has to be replaced & the pillar is pushed in slightly. I have two estimates from body shops: $1989 & $2200 from Volvo dealer.
I'm thinking about fixing the car myself & then having the whole car repainted instead of paying the body shop for repair & repainting the passenger side. What would you do?
