Hey All,

Lately my '87 245 has developed a stalling problem. On a cold start, the first start is pointless. The car turns over and dies. Second try, car starts revs a little, and if no gas is given, when it reaches idle it dies.

When the car is put into gear without applying the accelerator, it will sputter and die. Also, once running and rolling, say out of the driveway, if you stop before the engine warms up.. death.

Once the engine warms up, say, getting out of the neighborhood, all is well.

What could this be? I know the list of possible sources is a mile long, but what are the more common ones.

Also, the level of gas in the tank does not effect this.
