960 Engine swap 900 1995

Greetings all,

Picked up a 1995 965 with a bad engine. Found a B6304 out of a 1996 964 from a salvage yard. I noticed there difference in the wiring harness between the two engines and am hoping to find some explanation of this:

- the wiring harness on the 96 engine has an extra 6 wire plug with the main electrical connection, (the large white plug with a screw in the middle that plugs into the main fuse box located on the driver's side fender). From the looks of the main fuse box this smaller plug could fit into a receptacle immediately next to the main plug.

Any help is appreciated.

Dan
