after leaving numerous unanswered voice mails,i finally got thru today and asked the pleasant lady precisly where she got her figures from.
one was a very shady,large,used car lot in Lou. Ky. that preys on the people that shouldn't become victims(J.B.BY-RYDER) and the other was the local Volvo dealer here.both contacts informed me,they had no idea who the lady i was calling about was.
i called back and asked for her supervisor,another voice mail.
i immediatly called the not so pleasant lady again and she said they were going to re-evaluate my demand of $1,500. this is what i told them i would take for the 242 that they said was only worth $630. she did say not to expect $1500.
no way in hell will i accept their original offer of $630 for a fully operational 83 242.it did show it's age out side but still looks great inside(before accident).
i have not released it to them and we still have a rental.
i'm still fighting,after their insulting figure of $630.she gave me false information.it's not worth an atty. to fight this matter,my daughter has retained one for her injuries.the car is in my name so i'm not in her pending suit.THEY WILL end up paying.
my daghter is still my main concern and i'm doing all i can to help her,the car is secondary,and the at fault ins. co. has only become a thorn in my side.thanks for reading and DON'T give up if this unfortunate situation happens to you.
