Speedo Cable Nut 140-160 1973

Several months ago when pulling the engine from the Yellow Peril (1973 145E)
I disconnected the speedo cable from the instrument panel to get a little
slack for firewall clearance. I didn't notice anything unusual at the time
but now that I have it back together again, I can't find the nut that holds
it to the back of the speedo! I guess it must have disintegrated, broken in
half or some such. This is the nut that locks on with about a half twist.
I think the same speedo cable attachment is used on a lot of later Volvos,
probably many of the early 240s. The speedo cable is good so I am not eager
to replace it.

Does anyone have one of these nuts? I think I could split one and put it back
together with a ring pressed around it, hose clamp, etc.

No reasonable offer refused! Thanks for any help you can offer!
