240 dl stalling, unusual 200 1986

Hello and thanks for reading about my problem. I have a 1986 240 dl, 120,000 and have never had a problem, starts fine, idles smooth and will easily go into gears, car will "roll" in drive and reverse, but push on the gas and it dies instantly. I could use any help that can be provided thx.
