I was reading about the Valencia Volvo R Sport 240 EVO, and I noticed there is an "EVO" designation after the engine notation. I thought at first that it might be some custom turbo designation, but this thread on TurboBricks references the car and says it's naturally aspirated.
Is the "EVO" engine a custom build, or is it done using all-Volvo parts? Clearly, it wasn't factory-standard, or I would have heard of it.
Is the key to making a comparably powerful N/A car just using the same aggressive and performance-oriented parts?
I would love to have a car like that, but don't think I'm going to pick and pull blindly from the EVO checklist. I'd only like to know about it as a guide or shining example as to what can be done with Volvo performance.
