Hey Guys, This seems weird, hopefully you can help.
I took out the carpeting and seats to clean the whole interior, and also to look for water and rust. I did find a small pool of water behind the driver seat in the floorpan, I don't use AC it doesn't work anyways. More importantly, I had the center console off and the underdash panels and after cleaning out the rocker panels I decided to test them by pouring water down the cowel vents. I notice some, about a shot, of water run down on top of the hump in the middle and down to end up in a pool in the passenger side floorpan. So I stuck my head up in there to look where it might have been coming from, and I see this rectangular shaped box facing the firewall. It has a screen on it and there is a lid that is open, towards the firewall. I assume that this is part of the blower motor unit. Touching the screen I can feel that it is holding back quite a few pine needles, and I assume that this is where the water is comign from as well.
How could water and pine needles end up in the screened in box??
How can I clean them out??
Why would there be water behidn driver seat in floorpan??
Thanks in Advance guys, I just want to keep this car rust free!!!
