Hello all,
My son was stopped, and was rearended yesterday by a guy going 20-25 mph. He had out of state tags, he could not produce a drivers license, and gave a false name, until the cops got there. Ain't life GRAND!
Luckily I think we've got good insurance info on him and I have an appointment with his claims adjuster on Monday.
Here are the damages, broken left taillight, muffler was pushed into the fuel tank.
Here are my concerns, the bumper popped back out to its normal position and I can't see any signs of leaking from the bumper shocks. Is it customary to replace these after an impact like this, and can I insist on it?
I think the bending of the exhaust is mostly limited to the L-shaped under axle pipe, and maybe the S-curve tailpipe. This car has a crapy aftermarket exhaust system and I've been waiting for it to rot off so I can put stock parts on there that I have sitting in the garage. What is customary in this case? Is the adjuster going to recommend bending it back into place or replacement?
Looking forward to your input,
--
