I know that the bushings are the same on the '74 140 as on a 240 but I am wondering about the actual length of the bar itself.
I picked up a IPD adjustable panhard rod thinking it would bolt right in. It is three inches to long when adjusted to its shortest length. It measures thirty inches in length from end to end. My old panhard rod is severly bent and its hard to tell how long it would be if straight but it seems it would be a few inches shorter.
I am running VPD lower coils in the back. I tried to fit the IPD panhard rod without springs and shocks but it moves my driveline way to far to the right to the point that is next to the edge of the tunnel.
Everything looks straight. The body, the unibody frame, all brackets and mounting points for shocks, torque rods, trailing arms and panhard rod. Springs, shocks, torque rods and trailing arms are straight. All items have new bushings.
Anyway I am off to the junkyard with my tape measure....very few 140s showing up in the Bay Area yards these days...
