How To Identify Self-Levelling Suspension? 700

I suspect that my 1990 745 has a set of Nivomats or similar at the back, judging by the way it behaves when carrying really heavy stuff i.e. it sits level.

How do you tell self-levelling shock absorbers from normal ones? Is their physical size different or do they differentiate from normal shocks in another visible way?

P.S. My old 1988 244 had a set of Gabriel air adjustable shock absorbers which could be inflated/deflated via a Schraeder valve in the boot area. Pretty cool :)
