After three months of driving my mom's old honda accord, i'm finally back to the world of volvo. And all it took was new spark plugs, spark plug wires, battery cables, fuel tank, and intake manifold gasket. It just wouldn't be summer without the volvo up on stands in the driveway. . .
anyway, this post itself is about the intake manifold gasket i bought from fcp groton. Now, don't get me wrong, I still like groton. They have some good products at really low prices. . .BUT, stay away from their intake manifold gaskets. I replaced mine two years ago, and have had to replace it twice since. It seperated between the two layers to form football shaped holes instead of circular! Eventually, this one leaked badly enough to make the car fail the PA emissions inspection. The gasket I used for the latest round(elring) looked considerably different from those from groton. It felt a little more solid and of better construction; a lot more like the one that came with the car.
Just another post with the same "let the buyer beware" message. . .
