Hello, well its been a while but I am slowly getting back into maintaining my 1987 740 turbo. It was my first car and I plan on holding on to it forever. Anyway, I will be putting it back on the road in December for winter use when I put the S4 away and it will be driven daily at least until spring, possibly longer. So if I only had about $300 or 400 to put into a tune up and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what I should get done. Like many 740s it did have an idle problem and would stall if you drove away before you let it sit for a few minutes. I had a tune up a few years or ago and it hasn't stalled yet. Are there any basic things besides an oil change you would recommend to have done? The car has been sitting for about 2 years now but it is started every week or so and driven around my block so nothing ceases up and it seems to run acceptably for how old it is. The shop charges $65 an hour, so what would be my best options, TIA.
