This is a repost of a question i posted on Saturday. I'm hoping it just got missed because it was the weekend or maybe no one knows.


I recently picked up a td 05 out of a low mileage 765 at my favorite pick n pull. The 765 was an '87 and i installed it in my '87 745 and it performs wonderfully. The turbo in my 745 has a black i.d. tag on it and the turbo from the 765 has a blue i.d. tag. I seem to remember a post in the past about the tag colors stating whether a turbo has been rebuilt and I am wondering if my junque yard find is a rebuild. I searched the archives but can't find the old post. Anybody know about the tag colors?
