aftermarket catalytic converters 700

I have a 1990 740 wagon that needed a new head pipe and catalytic converter. I bought a cat from one of those internet suppliers and it went bad after about 2k miles. I thought I just had bad luck so I bought another one (they were only about $150) and it went bad after about 2.5k miles. In both cases the core separated from the inside of the cat and started rattling like crazy. Just thought I'd give you all a heads up on after market cats...be careful!!
