are blower motors for 700/900 interchangeable? 900

hi,

i am fred's fiance and posting this query for him while he is at work.

he has a '91 940 GLE that has a dead blower motor. the volvo dealers are quoting exceptionally high prices for the replacement, and the plug on the generic is different. we checked our junkyards, but the only series they have are 700 series. our question is: are the motors interchangeable? our guess is no, but we would be happy to be wrong. however, before we order a replacement from FCP groton we wanted to check. does anyone have any experience with this? or, know of a cheaper place than FCP (79$ at FCP, vlvworld was even higher) where we could pick one up? i did a search here on the forum and didn't come up with anything, but maybe you all can direct me someplace else?
