I have been trying to repair my 1994 940 which not run. It turns over and when it sits for a period of time, the first crank sounds as if it will run. From my previous post, we decided it was the fuel pump relay or possibly a coil wire. I ordered both...
After tearing the dashboard apart, I finally got the relay tray out. The relay I received is white and the one I think is the fuel pump relay is yellow. Why I thought it was this yellow relay, is when I turn the ignition on I here/feel the relay "pull-in" and 1.5 seconds later it drops out. So regardless of the color difference, I decided to put the white one in, to no avail.. The relays are thankfully "keyed" or "polarized" differently, so I could not physically put the white one in the socket. I removed the covers of the relays and my yellow relay ( volvo p/n 68 49 781 or 89 8742 000 or PA6-6F30) and found one relay, an IC chip and some diodes and resistors. The new white one has only two relays inside? After reviewing the FAQ and "read between the lines, the Regina system has one fuel pump and the bosch system has two, therefore I would assume is why the two relays are in the white one. Is my above yellow relay even for the fuel pump? The relay was located in the back row and the last one on the right hand side.
Am I on the right track and just received the wrong parts?
Please provide suggestions/pictures if available.

Now the parts people knew I had aa Regina system, for I ordered the wires and had to provide the last 5 of vin to get correct length for the coil. But, the coil wire also does not go on the regina coil. The stock one the metal connductor is way inside the boot on the coil side and my new one has the metal conductor sticking outside the boot as to insert into a normal coil...
