Put simply, can one put in sport springs without replacing or altering the stock shocks and struts in the car?
I know that would be a stupid idea--the reduced resistance of the stock Volvo shocks would ensure you bounce crazily over the slightest dip in the road--but if I were to get the Bilstein HDs and then put in the shorter springs, would anything at all relating to the springs have to be changed, or do they adjust automatically?
(Does anyone know how the S.A.M. sport springs compare to ipd's, height- and quality-wise? S.A.M. lists them for like $40 cheaper than ipd, once the currency conversion is made, so they might be the better buy.)
