my 88' 240DL 5sp sedan has started making a gurgling noise (similar to bogging out) at like 42mph in 4th and real low 30's in 3rd and so one......it never used to do this. i used to be able to drive fine in 4th goin like 35mph and 3rd went down to like 23mph. whats causing this and what can i do to fix it? Oh and another thing (unrelated) out of no where the fuse that goes to the interior lights, central locking and that infernal open door beep beep noise jus blew and my radio and ciggerette lighter stopped workin too but that fuse isnt blown.....is there a short somwhere? OK, i'm jus gonna say every other problem i have while i'm at it.....i think theres a vacuum leak or somthing but i cant find it and no one else ever hears it b/c when i try to show em it either stops or gets so faint that you can only hear it if you know when to listen for it. its coming from the passenger side. I can feel a loss of power since i've started hearing it. And my A/C condensation leaks into my passenger side floor.....i was told there was a hose that was prolly clogged but i cnt find it. and then theres the stupid rubber seal on the windshield. somhow it got turned in on the top corner and wont stay out. so everytime it rains a bunch water leaks yet again into the passenger side.....thank god for those rubber molded floor mats. maybe i'm jus paranoid about this shit.....i dono i jus want to have my car (my baby) running at its absolute BEST. if i could i would rip the motor, tranny, and everything else apart and re-build it all. well thanks for your help.....oh and i'm located in PA so if anyone knows of any inexpensive 240 2 doors around let me know.
