I am considering converting to synthetic oil in my 89 DL 138,000. I have read about the excelerated filter and oil change to get rid of all the deposits.

Has anyone had a problem with the conversion and wished the hadn't done it?

Does anyone have anything to add?
Oil brands, filters.......

I've check the FAQ, most of the posts are for turbo and 700-900.
