As the subject says, I'm interested what others have done to deal with the EGR system on a '94 B230FT when putting the engine into a model year that didn't use EGR... Did you remove the EGR components and plug the hole in the exhaust? What kind of plug (thread size) did you use? Another option, I guess, is to keep the EGR components on the engine but disconnect the vacuum line that controls it and also block the connection to the intake. I chose the former since it will be much easier to service the breather box with all that plumbing removed. :) I fabricated a "blank" to go over the connection on the '94 manifold and sealed it with black RTV. For the hole in the exhaust manifold a neighbor actually scrounged a steel plug that fit nicely into the hole. Hopefully it will stand the high temperatures there, and hopefully it won't be blown out!
Thanks,
Bean
