Vacuum Leak-- Does this make sense? 200 1987

I think I might have a vacuum leak but I am wondering if some of the symptoms I have make sense with what is happening.

First of all, the car runs great, but at idle it doesn't stay right at 750 rpm, it moves aroud from aroud 600 to 800rpm. (I cleaned the TB with no change) But this is what I am wondering. It seems that when I am at higher elevations I have less power and gets significantly worse around 8000 - 10,000 ft. But, sometimes it seems that at 5,000 ft I don't have the power I should, or normally do. Is it possible that with less atmospheric pressure the vacuum leak on the car gets worse...enough to make a significant loss of power? If this is possible I think the weather influences how much power my car has, ie, low pressure system = less power, high pressure system = more power.
BTW...where I can tell a difference is at highway speeds.

I would be suprised if it could make a noticable difference, but based on the preformance of my car I thought I would take a shot at it.

TIA
