Is there an ECU parts compatabiliy list anywhere out there on the web?

I have a 1991 740 NA with the Regina system.

The ECU in there is a Bendix with Volvo Part # 3531658.

I found another Bendix with Part # 1389567.

I want to know what year that came from.

If I wanted to try to swap the 2 units, would there be any damage?

What could happen?
