What used convertible vehicle would be most similar to a Volvo 240? 200

I desire to purchase a used convertible top vehicle at a reasonable price, yet I would like the vehicle to have similar traits to my 1992 Volvo 240. I want a vehicle that is durrable, well engineered, and that I can easily maintain. Rear wheel drive is preferred and it doesn't necessarily have to be a sporty.

I'm afraid that even a used Volvo C-70 convertible is out of my price range. So what other vehicles would you guys suggest that might offer similar traits as our bricks, but with a top-down experience? Am I right in my thinking that a Mazda Miata or a Jeep Wrangler might offer the convertible top, yet the same simplicity, durrability, and ease of maintenance as my 240?

Thanks,

Did I mention that Jay Fiedler stinks?
