Gawddamnit. So i have 400+ miles on the new engine right, and it's been dripping quite a damn bit out of the back of the engine... At 200 miles, i was down on oil and we put in a half a quart or so of Marvel Mystery oil, we should've put some more oil in there too but i forgot about it... Until today, after putting on many more miles at high rpms and such(on the highway, 4k rpms from portland back down to corvallis), so yeah, i was driving around town and all of a sudden the oil pressure light starts flickering... Oh no... I pulled over and checked the oil, sure enough, it was damn low, barely registering on the dipstick... So i went over to the nearest chevron and bought three quarts of their crap for way too much a quart ($2.50ea) and filled my car up. THE LIGHT IS STILL ON! So, i am thinking either the engine picked up some crap that i'm trying to clean out of the engine, or the gunk that has been going through the engine ruined the oil pump... And either way, it sucks. I'm not sure if I want to try and drain the oil and put some new oil in it and see what happens, or just take the engine out and take off the oil pan. I'll probably have to do that anyway so I don't want to waste some new oil on it if it's not going to do anything... The car seems fine, i'm taking it easy on it and going light throttle only and keeping it under 3k rpms... And I don't know what else i was gonna say.
