Electrical Gremlin After Visor Replacement 900 1992

Replaced passenger sun visor in my wife's '95 940 (old one would not stay up, was obstructing view and driving me crazy just looking at it!). I spliced the wires together vice removing the trim panels to ger to the plug. I double cheked to ensure that the wire colors matched. However, now we have the following issues:

- clock is inop
- interior lights and door edge "safety lights" inop
- when I open the sunvisor mirror (it's supposed to be lit) I get a beeping/ringing similar to the sound one get's when the key is in the ignition and the driver door open or the "buckle your seatbelt" warning. Same noise when I open the glove box.

I guess I've shorted something out (did not disconnect the negative battery terminal prior to "fixing" the visor).

Anyone have any ideas? Otherwise, it's to the dealer.

Thanks!
