Mine is working ok, but it's so NOISY!

On 1 or 2 it's OK, but on 3 the air flow gets noisy and 4 is so loud that I almost never use it except when I'm desperately hot.

The blower motor isn't squealing, it's just a primitive system. Compare and contrast with 700/900 series.

Are there any relatively easy mods that will reduce the noise? Smoothing out the air path? Insulation in the ducts? Otherwise?
