overheating fun! 200

ok. so my brick started overheating and just wont stop.

i recently moved from ny to phoenix az.

my car is acting up. it overheats for about the first hour of driving then settles to normal operating temp unless i stop for an extended period of time.

basically i have to drive with the heat on most of the time since i normally only make short trips.

i've flushed the coolant (back and front flushed) replaced the waterpump (the gasket is a little thicker than it should be because i was in a bind and needed to make my own)
replaced the thermostat.
replaced all the vacuum hoses.
cleaned the flame trap.
ran a cleaner through the radiator.
replaced the fan clutch with a new one. (thinking about efan conversion)

this overheating crap is driving me insane. 104 degrees sunny with the heat on blows.

i would love to use the air conditioning as well. a boy can dream.

thanks.
morgan.
