Panhard Rod Bushings -- Silly Question 200

I'd never do this with trailing arms or torque rods, but is it possible to remove the panhard rod and, with the rod removed, drive the car to the shop to get the new bushings pressed in? I suppose that I could remove them at the shop as the job isn't that big of a deal, but if I could reinstall the rod without a problem, I'd like to do it at home.
