My NA 245 is hard to start, but then runs perfectly. It used to start with just a quick turn of the key, now it takes a few turns to fire up, seems to stumble for a second, then runs fine. The next warm start will be the same thing.
A few months ago, I removed the distributor cap, and found the rotor was nearly burned up. Replaced it, and it seemed fine for a while. I inspected it again this weekend. Fine.
Why would a rotor burn up in the first place? Essentially, the epoxy that holdes the copper strip down (from center to end) was burned out. Could the cause of this be my current starting problem?
thanks all!
