3rd 'high' brake light 200 1989

So just how exactly is this cover supposed to come off of the high brake light? I've got to replace the bulb and I don't want to damage the 15 year old plastic. I can get it unclipped at the sides, but something in the middle is holding it up. Am I supposed to get a screwdriver in that hole and do something, or what?
