oil separator & EGR removal 700

Spent most of the afternoon trying to get the egr valve off for cleaning. Looks like I need to remove the oil separator to get to the last 12mm bolt holding the egr bracket on. One little 10mm bolt holds the separator down but after removing that, the separator is still stuck, Has anyone done this and knows something that I don't?
