Turbo gauge as cooling system pressure gauge 200 1987

Following the brickboard's advice I did this in my 240. I connected th T to the coolant tank and ran a hose to the gauge.

But the needle does not move!!!

I tried blowing to the hose and it moves. I asume I might have a leaking coolant cap. Is this assumtion correct??
Thanks
