I would like to know how to remove the seat back on our 1988 245GL wagon. Removing the seat bottom was simple! The whole mess started when the plastic release handle broke, I tried to put in a replacement, but there must be another problem with the latch etc. because the new one broke before I could complete attaching the cables, so I am going to the recycle yard once I know how to get the darn thing out. I looked where it pivots, but didn't want to push anything without knowing what I was doing. For the record, it is a 16 year old car driven by my sensible 16 year-old son. It's the perfect car to teach the basics of car care and auto mechanics. I can figure most Volvo things out, but this has me stumped
