What's the fastest stock Volvo ever made?

Just wondering, as I cruise the Web, coveting other people's cars:

What was the fastest stock pre-Ford Volvo? Would it be the '83 242ti flathood? Or possibly the 760 turbo with M46 tranny? Which old brick has the most torque?

And what was the fastest iteration for each model series?

(I guess by fastest, I mean 0-60mph, since most of us aren't going to have a chance to get anywhere near top speed.)
