740turbo stumbles a bit under full acceleration. Why? 700

Car in question is an 88 740 turbo with 250k. Under full acceleration the car stumbles a bit. Not a lot, just really enought to attract my attention and make me wonder why it's doing it. Any ideas? The car is in pretty sound mechanical shape. I'm suspecting hoses of one sort or another as this situation only arises when I've got my foot down by the pavement.
