Steering wheel screeching against the lower plastic valance 200

.. and it's becoming more and more annoying. Before I start trying lubricants one by one, are there some other points to check? I've already taken off the upper plastic part (held by 2 torx screws), but the screetching sound stays, so problem is in the lower part somewhere.

If I push hardly against that plastic thing, the noise disappears, but comes back as soon as I release it. Are there some problems with steering system that cause the steering wheel to sit deeper than normally?
