one quart of oil in 30 miles - OH NO !!! 700

Woe is me. OK, I replaced the timing belt and the water pump and the three seals. The crank had to be re-positioned. It had slipped(?)-or so I thought. Now I am losing oil faster than I can put it in-almost. I have taken off the top of the cover to see if it was all oil-nope, dry. My belief is if one of the two bottom seals were leaking there would be a lot of oil in the timing cover case. Since it is dry, I am at somewhat of a loss. I don't see any oil behind the cover under the cam seal either. I am about to take off the bottom cover to see if I have the crank in time with the cam. It actually runs pretty good, but seems to be timed quite late. Is there anything I have done to cause it to be blowing out so much oil? It isn't burning it. It is definitly leaking. You can actually see the streak of oil coming into the driveway! When putting in the crank seal, the installation tool I was using turned out to be smaller than the crank, so I was actually tapping on the crank for a bit before I noticed. Would that have caused a problem with the rear seal? Thanks for the help/support, Roger
