Hey people,
My '90 B230F block with earlier continuous injection is giving me problems:
Cranking the motor sometimes won't start it, but when the starter is DISengaged, it will show a burst of life and then die.
If the accelerator is pressed as the starter is disengaged, the it will run like a dog for a time (having to keep the pedal down) and then settle back to normal. It once blew a lot of smoke out after starting like this.
Also, the distributor's rotor contact is spark pitted on the trailing edge.
It always has had a tendency to start when i let go of the starter key, but now in crucial exam times, occasionally won't start at all.
On another topic, my belts are making a loud grinding/clicking noise that goes away with when water is splashed on them. I can understand belts making the whooshing sound, but clicking? Has anyone else heard this?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
jp
