Made The Tool! Did the bushings! (Pictures) 200 1987

Okay. No more beating around the bushings. With the kind help from fellow BB’ers Tony Hoffman and Art Benstein, and aided of course with the invaluable receipe by Neil Wilcer, I was able to attack my TABs today. With success, I am proud to say!

A couple of notes:
- The coupling was a bit small, but that was not a big problem. A power drill and a grinding bit took care of that, as the internal threads were not hard to take off.
- I could not find the correct size bolt locally, so I went with threaded rod. A bit too steep threads, but it worked excellent, and it wasn’t even hardened. I greased the rod and the washer liberally.
- The pusher got stuck in the bracket. No problem, just I reversed the receiver to pull it free.

Not bad, considering the age. Same thing can be said about the car.

Now, where do I collect the T-shirt I earned?

Erling.
