I broke off one of the studs that the water pump screws on to. 200 1980

Regarding the 1980 245 DL with a B-21F engine and a M-46 transmission.

Some one please tell me that those two studs that stick out of the block that the water pump bolts on to aren't welded in place.

I just broke off one of the studs that the water pump would attach to.

There is still a bit of the stud (I'd say about a quarter of an inch) still sticking out of the engine.

Is this something I can get out of the engine with a pair of vice grips?

If it is, what kind of stud is this? Is this the same stud that the clutch fan would attach to at the end of the water pump? It looks similar from what I can tell, and if it is, I'll just use one of those (I have a few extras).

If this stud is a special type, would it be a good idea to pull one off of my spare engine? It's pretty cruddy...

I'm in somewhat of a bind because I need to have this car running by Monday, other wise I would wait for a dealer to open and buy the stud from them...

Thanks as always.
