experience with cloth seat dyeing? 700 1987

Anyone have personal experience dyeing the cloth seats in their Volvo? My originally blue seats have turned a sickly greenish/yellow in places due to sun fade. I'd love to be able to just pull the seats and use some home remedy on it. Dye in a can? How did it match and what was the source? What worked for you?
