Hi. I've got a 1975 164, which (unique to that year) takes 25mm offset wheels (just like the 240 cars), instead of the prior 164s' 40 mm offset (although this 164's wheels are still 15 inch like earlier ones).
Also, the car is at standard height (I will not be installing lowered springs, although I have installed IPD sway bars, etc.).

Now for the question...I want to do a "Plus One" tire upgrade.

I can buy, at a great price from my neighbor, a set of Volvo's "Hydra" wheels (p/n 3516422), which are 6.5 x 16 inches (and 25mm offset). They're bare (no tires on them), so I can't just put them on my 164 to see if they fit, since I want to take into account clearance with tires on them), and I don't want to spend $500 and up for a set of low-profile high performance tires just to find out (in case they don't fit).

Does anyone know whether these wheels, with probably 205/55-16 tires, will fit my car?
