Thanks,Bean.It WAS the fuel pressure regulator.I bought a used one at Voluparts here to test-they will let you return used parts for a small fee-cost me less than buying that much hose.Whine gone!Put in a new regulator.Counter guy at Voluparts said he has seen fuel pumps burned out by this condition-basically WAY too much backpressure. sredwine 94 940T 155K,V90 87K
