80 240 transmission 200

I recently purchased a 1980 240 wagon with the 2.4l diesel and have been trying to make it roadworthy. I just replaced the front rotors, calipers and hoses and while having all kinds of fun bleeding the lines, I found something that has me a little confused. With the car up on jackstands and in "Park", I can still rotate the rear wheels with little resistance. I find this rather odd. Any comments or suggestions?
