Tire Ratings for my 1991 940 SE 900

Hi, looking for advice. My 1991 940 SE needs new tires. I'm trying to find out what weight and speed rating I need in a new tire. I believe the car calls for a 195/65R15 with a speed rating of H. However, I have had two tire shops tell me they will not mount anything less than a V rated tire. Are they confusing my turbo wagon with the turbo sedan? I originally wanted the Goodyear Regatta II. Anyone have this tire on their Volvo?
