Installing tachometer in 1990 car 200

I've read that many 240s are pre-wired for tachometers. Wondering if this is true of the '90 models. Had the instrument cluster out today to replace a bulb and did not find any extra wires leading out of the wiring harness. I have a tach from my old (RIP) '83 turbo that I'd like to install. Any suggestions?
