rear defroster not working 200 1990

First off I love my '90 240DL wagon! If I won the lottery I'd take it to get restored instead of buying new (my girlfriend says "whatever you jackass").

My issue is that my rear defroster has stopped working and I 'd like to get it running before the snow flys (too late it snowed on Friday night!). Besides checking the fuse, which I have done, what should be my next step(s)?
