740 Cold Starting Problem 700 1987

I have an 1987 740 GLE wagon with a B230F and Bosch LH Jetronic fuel injection.

The other morning it was hard to start even though it was only marginally below freezing. Once I got it going it ran fine. I was searching through the Brickboard 740 FAQ and my Haynes manual and decided I should look at the auxiliary air valve and cold start injector.

Question 1 - 740 Repair Manual
What is "the best" manual you folks could recommend for this machine? The biggest problem I'm having is finding good information as the Haynes manual is really quite pathetic.

Question 2 - Auxiliary air valve
What are the correct specs for the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve? For example at what temperatures does the ECM open or close the valve? Does it always open at startup? I opened my IAC, everything looks clean and turns freely. Before I opened the IAC I wasn't getting any idle boost on startup, but after I reassembled it the idle boost at startup was back up to 1600 to 2000 RPM.

Question 3 - Cold start injector
Does this machine have a cold start injector? The Haynes manual and Brickboard FAQ refers to one but I can't find it on the intake manifold!

Thanks in advance,

Kevin
