Where is my transmission fluid disappearing to? 900

All,
Recently purchased a 92 940. Runs great but I am adding 1/2 quart of tranny fluid about every 200-300 miles. It is dry under the car, don't see any leaks, and my coolant doesn't appear discolored. The radiator does not have the plastic side tank so I suspect it is a relatively recent replacement, and therefore, hope trans fluid is not leaking into my radiator from the side tank. Any ideas where the fluid is disappearing to?
